Overview
The Organic Trade Board is a UK non-profit membership organisation bringing together the entire organic sector to raise awareness and grow sales of organic products.
In 2022, they approached us to refresh their dated Squarespace website, which no longer reflected their professionalism or brand guidelines. They needed a modern, flexible platform that would serve both as a window for new members and as a functional hub for their existing membership base.
The existing site was visually outdated, difficult to manage, and lacked key functionality. The client specifically needed:

A fresh design in line with their brand colours, fonts, and guidelines.

A password-protected member area with individual logins (not a shared password).

The ability for members to book events directly on the site, instead of relying on Eventbrite.

Integration with HubSpot CRM for improved member management.

We designed and delivered a new website that addressed each of their requirements:

Created a bespoke WordPress website with a modern look and intuitive layout, fully aligned with the organisation’s brand guidelines.

Built a secure, email + password-protected member area organised into sections for events, resources, reports, and member directories.

Implemented event booking functionality, with support for free and paid tickets, all managed directly on the website.

Linked the site with HubSpot CRM, ensuring member data was centralised and easy to manage.

Added functionality to support membership fee payments and renewals, giving flexibility for future growth.

Delivered a site that is simple for staff to update, allowing them to add news, resources, and new pages independently.
